Reentry Navigator (BH-JI)

Responsibilities

• Affords enrolled individuals with the opportunity to establish realistic and attainable goals, centered around addressing behavioral health/substance abuse and medical needs, as well as social needs like securing stable housing, income, food, and community support.
• Engages and supports clients in achieving these goals to enable them to live independently in the community and reduce reliance on higher levels of care and recidivism within the correctional system.
• Participates in all office staff meetings.

  Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field or equivalent language proficiency.
  • At least three years of human services-related experience, with at least two years specifically working with the adult mentally ill population, including those with dual diagnosis and substance abuse issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, proficient in written, verbal, and computer communication.
