Reefer Technician

Pay

$22 - $35 an hour depending on verifiable experience

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license
• 608 EPA certification is required for this position
• Technical or advanced degree or equivalent maintenance experience
• 3-5 years of equivalent maintenance experience

• Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mobile refrigeration units such as Carrier and Thermo King, using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows
• Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of refrigerated trailers
• Welding/fabrication as needed on trailer equipment
• Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
• Physically capable of performing all job duties, which includes being able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and have flexible movement to reach equipment
• On-site evaluation with recommended training
