Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance & service inspections on a variety of transport refrigeration units (TRU) & auxiliary power units (APU)
- Perform diagnostic and repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units & heater equipment
- Follow established technical & administrative processes
- Complete repair orders & parts usage forms
- Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, & customers
- Remain current on technical & regulation requirements
- Perform road service calls as required
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in the field of refrigeration/HVAC equipment installation and/or repair
- EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications
- Skills to sufficiently install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment
- Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods & equipment to perform, prioritize and complete job assignments
- Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school a plus
- Proficient with computer operation/usage
- Valid driver’s license
- A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required
