Job Summary

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow position in Particle Physics under the funding of ANUSANDHAN National Research Foundation (ANRF).

About the Role

This position is part of a project titled "Towards Optimality - An Effective Window to New Physics." The successful candidate will contribute to research activities aligned with this project.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to research projects related to Particle Physics.
  • Participate in seminars, workshops, and other academic events.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and other researchers at the institute.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in physics with a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CGPA.
  • Desirable qualifications include clearing National Eligibility Tests like CSIR-UGC NET, selection through national-level examinations, or being a BS-MS/MSc/Integrated MSc student from IISERs/IITs/IISc with a CGPA of 8 or above.

Qualifications

  • Any one of the following National eligibility tests: CSIR-UGC NET, including LS, GATE in physical sciences.
  • Selection through national-level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DAE, MHRD, HBNI, IISc, IIT, IISER, NICER, etc.
  • BS-MS/MSc/Integrated MSc students from any of the IISERs/IITs/IISc with a CGPA of 8 or above on a 10-point scale.

Skills

  • Strong background in Particle Physics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Benefits

  • Fellowship amount: INR 37000 + HRA for the 1st and 2nd years.
  • Fellowship amount: INR 42000 + HRA for the 3rd year.

Pay

  • INR 37000 + HRA for the 1st and 2nd years.
  • INR 42000 + HRA for the 3rd year.

Schedule

  • One year tenure, extendable based on performance.

Age

  • Below 28 years.
