The Recruitment Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and motivating a team of recruiters by setting expectations and standards to ensure attainment of division goals while maintaining a high level of recruitment activity. This position oversees and builds the company’s profile by sourcing and recruiting quality candidates to fill open needs and promotes effective teamwork to ensure unrivaled quality service for field personnel and clients.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with internal business leaders to understand growth targets, forecasts, and priorities.
- Develop, maintain, update, and implement training plans for new recruiters and support all recruiters.
- Manage a team of recruiters and support their development through coaching, counseling, and re-training when needed.
- Maintain individual recruitment efforts by sourcing and pipelining a broad range of qualified staff.
- Monitor team performance against goals while maintaining individual production.
- Assess lead sources, sourcing, and engagement strategies to identify and implement best practices.
- Know and support all company policies and procedures to attain expected production standards.
- Develop and plan prospecting strategies to pursue new avenues for recruiting candidates using tools such as email, telephone, social media, and local events.
- Ensure the database is maintained with accurate candidate contact information, qualifications, and selling points; document all communication with candidates.
- Research and resolve problems in a timely manner; implement corrective action for recruiters through established company procedures.
- Handle special assignments or other duties as assigned by management.
- Make recommendations on process improvement and tools needed to drive successful recruitment.
- Provide weekly reporting of recruitment metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years of related experience in recruitment (5 years preferred).
- 3 years of supervisory experience in sales or the staffing industry (education field preferred).
- Proven business development and effective leadership skills.
- Ability to plan work activities efficiently and manage competing demands and changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve issues.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in completing tasks; ability to monitor work and provide quality output.
- Good organizational skills and initiative.
- Strong job interviewing skills and analytical abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally across a broad corporate landscape.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player sharing project responsibilities.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and show flexibility as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or a similar discipline preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
