Recruiter I Overview

A fortune 500 client is seeking a Recruiter I to join their recruiting team. This team manages the data centers, cloud computing, and engineering talent essential for global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own top-of-funnel sourcing for technical roles including data center, cloud, network, and SDE-level positions
  • Build and execute sourcing plans by collaborating with lead recruiters and hiring managers to identify requirements, then finding the right talent
  • Drive high-volume candidate outreach daily via email and virtual channels; at least a third of your time will be spent in live conversations with candidates
  • Hit weekly KPIs: 36 phone screens scheduled per week, 5–7 in-person or virtual interviews coordinated
  • Cold call and engage passive candidates; this is a proactive sourcing role, not an inbound queue
  • Navigate two customers simultaneously: the hiring manager who owns the requisition, and the candidate you're building a relationship with

Requirements

  • Must-Haves:
    • 1-2+ years technical recruiting experience in a high volume environment
    • Boolean search proficiency
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Former experience with an enterprise client
    • Sourcing focused background (cold outreach, engaging passive candidates, etc.)
  • Desired Degree:
    • AA / BA

Disqualifiers

  • No recent technical recruiting focus
  • No large scale, metric-based experience

Team Culture

This is a recruiting team that operates like a business. You'll intake directly with hiring managers, build sourcing plans, and own your pipeline from outreach through screen. The work is fast-moving and conversation-heavy: expect regular dialogue with candidates, lead recruiters, and HMs to stay aligned on needs and progress. The team shares learnings openly and expects everyone to contribute to that. You're not just filling seats on a desk; you're helping build the workforce behind one of the most complex infrastructure organizations in tech. The environment is engaging and collaborative, with a shared mindset to drive results.

Logistics

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 12 months, with possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment
  • Schedule: 40 hrs/week, M–F core hours

  • Location: Onsite: Seattle WA, Arlington VA, or Herndon VA

This posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions and provides services to a fortune 500 client. The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36/hour - $38/hour. Tundra's benefits offering includes optional medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and a New Child Benefit.
