About the role

Burnett Specialists is a 100% employee-owned, nationally certified woman-owned staffing and recruiting firm based in Houston. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting recruiter or a proven full-desk recruiter who enjoys account management, sales, sourcing, recruiting, and closing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full desk, including client development, account management, sourcing, recruiting, and closing
• Recruit and place accounting and finance professionals in direct-hire opportunities
• Build strong relationships with clients, candidates, and internal team members
• Source talent through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, database searches, and outreach
• Screens, interviews, presents, and closes qualified candidates
• Partner with clients on hiring needs, compensation, interview feedback, offers, and start dates
• Maintain strong follow-up, pipeline management, and activity in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 1+ years of Recruiting experience, preferably in accounting/finance, professional staffing, direct hire, or full-desk agency recruiting
• Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, and follow-up skills
• Comfortable with client development, candidate outreach, negotiation, and closing
• Competitive, money-motivated, organized, and results-driven mindset

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Schedule

The position is based in our Corporate Office in the Houston Westchase area. Direct-hire recruiters typically work primarily in the office, with some work-from-home flexibility based on experience, performance, and business needs.
