About the role

The Recruiter and Caregiving Trainee is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising caregivers for the Senior Helpers Caregiving Team. This role is an integral part of the customer service team, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment with excellent attention to detail and multitasking efficiency. The ideal candidate is outgoing, a great listener, and engaging—a true people person with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. Strong phone skills and the ability to connect with people both over the phone and in person are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, test, select, and orient all new personnel.
  • Prepare, complete, and maintain compliant personnel files (electronic and paper).
  • Represent the company at internal and external job fairs, college campuses, business professional groups, and other community locations.
  • Maintain full-cycle recruiting strategies to target and recruit candidates by building relationships and developing trust.
  • Create, post, and maintain job advertisements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local licensing and regulatory entities.
  • Meet all goals related to key staffing metrics.
  • Direct-source applicants in a variety of appropriate environments.
  • Develop follow-up strategies to continually pursue top talent.
  • Supervise talent once hired, conducting reviews, disciplinary action, and providing motivation.
  • Provide and oversee training opportunities for the caregiving team to grow their skill set and deliver high-quality care.
  • Maintain daily and accurate documentation in electronic records of all activities.
  • Participate in on-call after-hours and telephone rotation, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Experience with the NABS state system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree desired but not required.
  • One to three years of related experience.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Proven creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to source and engage candidates.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative and build productive relationships.
  • Self-direction with exceptional communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to work under time pressures while managing multiple demands.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in healthcare or healthcare recruiting is a plus.
