Recreational Therapist/PRN - Inpatient

About the role

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Dallas is seeking a PRN (Per Request Not Required) recreational therapist to work weekdays and at least one weekend a month.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups and community outings
• Drive a company vehicle with a clear driving record
• Work with patients who have conditions such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and strokes

Requirements

• Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required
• Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required
• Certified experience in a medical setting

Qualifications

• Experience working with patients who have traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and strokes
• Clear driving record

Skills

• Group facilitation skills
• Outing planning and coordination
• Medical knowledge relevant to rehabilitation settings

Pay

$27/hr
