Responsibilities
- Instruct a variety of classes, lessons, and programs, teaching the rules and regulations of Pickleball.
- Register pupils for Pickleball lessons (and league programs, as necessary).
- Maintain records and files.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of: Pickleball. Procedures for developing activity-specific classes, programs, and special events. Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.
- Ability to: Proficiently perform the skill you are instructing. Provide a positive role model for participants. Lead and instruct individual and group classes. React with good judgment in emergency situations. Complete work with little to no oversight. Work an irregular schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Adhere to Town and department-established rules and regulations, including workplace safety regulations.
- Pass an appropriate background check prior to the hire date.
Qualifications
- Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Experience: Some experience in recreational and/or child-related activities and programs and/or coaching.
Skills
- Proficiency in Pickleball.

Pay
Compensation shown on this posting is the entire pay scale, in compliance with the California Equal Pay Act. Since January 1, 2023, The California Equal Pay Act has required that, "an employer with 15 or more employees must include the pay scale for a position in any job posting."
Schedule
Part-time, with no benefits other than those required by state and federal law. Either the employee or the Town may terminate employment at any time for any reason, with or without cause. Part-time positions carry a maximum of 960 total paid hours per fiscal year and are not a guarantee of future employment with the Town of Mammoth Lakes.
