Recreation Attendant

About the role

The Recreation Attendant position at Stonewall Resort is part of a larger team dedicated to providing exceptional service and experiences to guests. The ideal candidate will create memorable moments for guests through their attention to detail and care in maintaining the pool environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitable service and assistance to guests in accordance with customer service standards.
• Carry out policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Pyramid Global while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform duties in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules due to business levels and industry demand.
• Maintain uniform and grooming standards in employee handbook and departmental training.
• Have the Fitness Area ready for operation five minutes prior to opening.
• Daily check of all outdoor equipment at the boat house and yard games for proper safety.
• Full knowledge of telephone answering, fitness equipment, pool, recreational activities, excursion boat, and locker room procedures.
• Provide guests with general information and assist with all requests pertaining to Fitness Center, excursion boat, and recreational activities.
• To be knowledgeable with all services within the hotel.
• To ensure all areas are cleaned and stowed away after closing the Fitness Area.
• To assist in operations of recreational activities and team building events.
• To ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• To attend meetings as required.
• To assist in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate supervisor.
• To develop staffing to department standards.
• To assist manager in scheduling with understanding of systems used for scheduling, attendance, and recruiting.
• To clean and maintain locker room and restrooms.
• To wash, fold, and stock pool towels.
• To keep pool patio furniture in order.
• To report any maintenance issues to Recreation Manager.
• To empty trash in the recreation department and pool patio area daily.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Pleasant speaking voice, excellent verbal communication skills.
• Professional and polished customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Energetic personality.
• Able to work with children.

Skills

• Knowledge of Micros point-of-sale system.
• Knowledge of multi-line phone system, voice mail system, photocopier, pontoon boat, kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and Microsoft Office.
