About the role
We are hiring a Recreation Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on leading group and independent activities for our resident population, assisting in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs tailored to each resident’s assessment and care plan.
Responsibilities
- Lead group and independent activities for residents.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in accordance with resident assessments and care plans.
- Multi-task and plan for individual resident needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to plan and lead groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a skilled nursing environment or working with the elderly population.
- Experience in activity programming.
- Experience with dementia care or long-term care.
