Join our team at Skyview Rehab and Nursing, a premier therapy company in the long-term care setting. We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Recreation Assistant to enhance the quality of life for our residents through engaging recreational activities.
About the Role
As a Recreation Assistant, you will plan and implement recreational activities that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being for our residents.
- Develop and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, tailored to the diverse interests and abilities of residents
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other department heads to align recreational activities with individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate records of recreational activities and resident participation
- Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings to discuss resident needs and develop strategies for enhancing their quality of life
- Support the Recreation Director in planning and implementing special events and programs
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for recreational activities
- Assist with setup and cleanup of recreational activities
- Provide support with daily living activities, such as feeding, bathing, and dressing, as needed
