Job Description
- Document all activities timely and appropriately in Pro-Activity attendance
- Reviews individual resident attendance and participation records with therapist
- Mets with Recreation Therapist for input and guidance regularly
Facility-wide Responsibilities & Standards
- Leads group activities for residents in a variety of recreational pursuits
- Invites and escorts residents to appropriate unit programs
- Regularly provides and documents meaningful 1:1 in-room resident visits if indicated
- Posts a written monthly activities schedule on assigned wing, near the nurses’ station and in Resident rooms
- Implements, in coordination with Program Director and Administrator, policies and procedures as they relate to the Therapeutic Recreation Department
- Preparation for specialized Recreation programs

- Demonstrate ability to handle stressful situations
- Must be able to write & speak the English language in an understandable manner
- Ability to relate and work with the physically and emotionally challenged resident
