Recreation Assistant

Full-time position with rotational weekends required. Eligible for medical benefits or modified compensation, which adds 25% to the base rate of pay.

About the role

Enrich the lives of our patients and residents as a Recreation Assistant. Plan, organize, and implement engagement activities that meet the physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of our patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement engagement activities for patients and residents
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services
• Document patient and resident attendance and participation levels at recreation programs
• Attend care plan meetings as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and respond to their medical and physical needs

Skills

• Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
• Well-developed organizational abilities and record-keeping skills
• Able to positively engage with personnel, residents, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public
