Recreation Aide (Golf Sales)
About the role
This position involves maintaining records, preparing reports, and performing various duties related to a golf course pro shop. The primary responsibilities include managing member payments, preparing reports, recording scores, and assisting customers.
Responsibilities
- Maintains records of members' monthly payments and expiration dates.
- Prepares daily reports and turns in with receipts in accordance with established procedures.
- Records members' golf scores for input to the computer.
- Sets up golf carts, tee times, and rental equipment and records starting times for play on weekends and holidays.
- Maintains the shop in a neat, clean, and attractive manner to promote sales.
- Aids customers in selecting merchandise, prepares special orders, and lays away purchases.
- Advises the Manager when items require reordering.
- Answers patron inquiries regarding hours of operation, prices, lessons, upcoming events, complaints, and refers them to the manager.
- Ensures proper use of the facility by authorized patrons and enforces dress codes.
- Assists the Manager in promoting the golf course and other department activities.
- Maintains the shop by dusting, vacuuming floors, emptying waste cans at the end of the shift.
- Performs periodic inventories and maintains various records and prepares reports.
- Opens and secures the Pro Shop as needed.
- Assists other Department facilities during specific events or when required.
