Recovery Support Specialist - Adult Outpatient
About the role
This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist our facility consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Assist clients in developing and implementing individualized recovery plans
- Provide support and encouragement to clients during their recovery process
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Document client progress and communicate with supervisors and other relevant parties
Requirements
- Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery
Qualifications
- Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: Two years of PRSS experience
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: No prior PRSS experience required
- Recovery Support Specialist: Demonstrated personal knowledge or advocacy in recovery
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Pay
Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr) plus benefits!
Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr) plus benefits!
Recovery Support Specialist: $30,000.00 ($14.42/hr) plus benefits!
Schedule
Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result. THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. Employees May Be Required To Work Weekends And Overtime.
