The Recovery Specialist I provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served and is consistent with recovery‑centered care principles.

Telecare’s Fern Lodge Behavioral Wellness program offers intensive mental health and psychiatric treatment in a safe, welcoming environment for adults requiring continued time for stabilization and recovery support. The program utilizes the Recovery‑Centered Clinical System (RCCS), a trauma‑informed, evidence‑based approach that emphasizes choice‑making, harm reduction, and “no‑force first” practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluation and risk assessment covering mental health and substance abuse.
• Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment.
• Facilitate peer support and community group meetings.
• Organize and lead social and recreational activities.
• Deliver rehabilitation programming.
• Offer supportive counseling on both group and individual bases.
• Administer and manage medication in accordance with RCCS protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to behavioral health issues and multicultural populations (through family relationships, volunteering, coursework, or other experience).
• Valid, current driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance with the applicant listed as the driver.
• Willingness to use personal vehicle for work‑related travel (mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate).

Schedule

Full‑Time position working Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM.

Pay

Expected starting wage range: $17.13 – $20.61 per hour. The full wage range can go up to $24.12 per hour. Pay is adjusted for geographic differentials and is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
