Recovery Services Specialist

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Recovery Services Specialist to join the Recovery Services team. This position primarily works Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with some rotating evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and conducts psychoeducational classes on recovery as assigned (e.g., medication side effects, ADL, communication skills, stress management strategies).
• Provides therapeutic support within the units and Recovery Center.
• Teaches and models healthy behaviors consistent with the treatment and care goals of recovery.
• Contributes to a safe and therapeutic environment by practicing verbal de-escalation and, as authorized, other behavior management techniques.
• Completes and maintains service documentation according to mandated standards.
• Communicates information relevant to care, treatment, and services with other staff members.
• Assists with patient care duties and other activities as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Schedule

Full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with some rotating evening and weekend hours.
