About the role
The Recovery Project Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing recovery projects to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement recovery strategies for critical systems and applications.
- Collaborate with IT teams to assess risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to recovery procedures and processes.
- Conduct regular testing and validation of recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness.
- Provide technical support during disaster recovery exercises and actual incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations or project management.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Proficiency in using tools for data backup and recovery, such as SQL Server, AWS, or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry-standard recovery methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure).
Skills
- Technical proficiency in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
