Summary of Position

Provides evidence‑based individual and group clinical interventions both in the office and community settings to develop trusting relationships with clients. Engages with clients so that they may more freely discuss substance use and its effects on mental and physical health and daily functioning. Aids clients in setting their own goals for treatment, as well as plans to reduce or abstain from substance use and to learn healthy coping skills. Builds rapport and a therapeutic relationship with clients to introduce them to all the elements of a healthy recovery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitates client’s use of family, social and community resources, acting as an advocate with external resources and agencies and self‑help programs.
• Provides individual, group and family counseling covering psycho‑educational, addictions, daily living skills and activity therapy.
• Develops, implements and monitors clinically and fiscally responsible individualized treatment/discharge plans.
• Participates in treatment team meetings for the purpose of summarizing, reviewing and developing client’s treatment goals, progress and use of services.
• Maintains necessary communications and reporting with referral sources and other involved parties as approved by the client; provides testimony in court regarding client’s behavior and condition when requested.
• Meets billable hour productivity standards.
• Completes ANSA/CANS assessments and reassessments on time.
• Completes clinical documentation within two business days of the service provided.
• Completes treatment plans and other clinical service authorizations in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university preferred, preferably in psychology, social work, or a related field. Experience equivalency may be considered in place of the education requirement.
• Experience: Experience working and/or volunteering within the behavioral health, criminal justice, or social services field can be considered in place of a degree. Personal experience with recovery from substances is helpful, but not required.
• Certification/Licensure: N/A
• Physical Requirements: Standing – 10%; Sitting – 90%; Squatting – occasional; Kneeling – occasional; Bending – occasional; Driving – occasional; Lifting – occasional.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.20–$25.50
