Recovery Coach

Location: Worcester, MA – based out of Main Street Outpatient location

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 5:30am–2:00pm

$22.90/hour

Responsibilities

• Promote recovery and remove barriers and obstacles to recovery
• Serve as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs
• Model recovery principles and practices at all times
• Provide linkages to recovery-oriented, peer support self-help supports and services, and community-based mental health, substance use disorder, and family support programs
• Serve as a liaison between the recovery community, the addiction treatment system, the medical treatment system, and the member’s community, family, and social context to facilitate connections across systems of care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of uninterrupted recovery required; 3–5 years preferred
• Recovery coach certification required within the first 12 months of employment
• Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services
• Strong skills in communication, follow-through, collaboration, and customer service
• Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the program to which he/she is assigned
• Valid driver’s license, access to a safe, operational, and insured vehicle, and willingness to transport participants
