Vital Duties And Responsibilities
- Counsels adults seeking assistance for opiate addiction via methadone treatment.
- Develops treatment plans and refers patients to appropriate levels of care.
- Provides individual and group therapy sessions.
- Documents patient progress thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborates with the Recovery Center clinical team and psychiatrist for weekly staffing meetings.
- Offers education and case management services to patients as needed.
- Maintains open communication with referral sources and other healthcare providers.
- Conducts outreach to community organizations and providers to reduce stigma and enhance referrals to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in addictions, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution required.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience providing addictions assessment and treatment, including individual and group therapy, is required.
Certification/License
- A current Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCAC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license is required.
