Records Information Manager IV
About the role
The Records Information Manager will provide technical, management, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The position involves supervising other staff members and providing technical support for records management programs, dockets, records centers, or other information services.
Responsibilities
- Supervise other staff members in support of the Records Information Manager
- Provide technical support for records management programs, dockets, records center, or other information service under the supervision of a Records Information Manager
- May assist in planning and program development, analysis of records or docket management problems, and design of strategies to meet ongoing records or docket management needs
- Specific technical duties may vary according to the needs of the work site and include, but are not limited to, response to inquiries; collection maintenance and retrieval tasks; metadata review and input; equipment maintenance; and use of automated information systems, such as the Federal Docket Management System (FDMS)
Qualifications
- At Level IV, the personnel must have at least seven (7) years of records management experience
- Experience with at least one automated information system is required
- A college degree is preferred but not required
