Reconciliation Advisor
About the role
As a Reconciliation Advisor, you will function as a dedicated account manager for a designated portfolio of customers and pharmacies. Operating under minimal supervision, you will conduct detailed account reviews, analyze and communicate data trends, resolve customer concerns, and perform account maintenance to ensure optimal account health. You will act as the primary liaison and point of contact for pharmacies utilizing our value-add reconciliation solution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary account manager for a specific group of customers and pharmacies, ensuring their needs are met and their accounts are well-maintained.
- Conduct detailed reviews of customer accounts, analyzing data trends and providing insights to support decision-making.
- Resolve a diverse range of complex issues using best practices and professional judgment.
- Answer inbound calls from existing customers, delivering timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Provide web-based training sessions for both new and experienced customers, ensuring they are proficient with our systems and solutions.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, demonstrating excellent communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for various technology platforms, including but not limited to the ProviderPay web portal, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce.
- Review assigned existing customer accounts to complete reconciliation tasks, research and resolve reported issues and requests, and complete necessary follow-up with customers.
- Conduct web-based training to educate customers on platform functions, navigation, and reporting.
- Make outbound phone calls to provide proactive, comprehensive account reviews, delivering account status updates, addressing trends, and making recommendations to increase value and results.
- Perform account monitoring, working with cross-functional teams to ensure value is clearly identified and communicated with customers.
- Take inbound phone calls from existing customers to intake reported issues, provide consultative support, give direction and actionable feedback, and address reconciliation needs.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
Skills
- 2+ years of customer service experience.
- Pharmacy operations (claims adjudication) and/or managed care experience preferred.
- Proven experience in customer service, account management, or a related field.
- Pharmacy finance and/or reconciliation experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage customer expectations for service and issue resolution.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

Pay
Our base pay range for this position is $26.87 - $44.78 per hour. This range is aligned with McKesson’s pay philosophy and is determined by several factors, including performance, experience, skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
