Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.
- Aid in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
- Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options.
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers' needs.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

I’ve proudly served as a State Farm agent since 1985 and have spent more than 40 years helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most. I earned my bachelor’s degree in business from East Carolina University, and over the years I’ve built an office culture centered around knowledge, trust, and building long-lasting relationships with our customers and community.
Our office is friendly, supportive, and team-oriented with a work-hard-play-hard mentality. We currently have three full-time team members and one part-time team member, and we’re excited to continue growing our team. With over 85 years of combined insurance experience in the office, we pride ourselves on providing personalized guidance, respecting our customers’ budgets, and delivering the kind of small-town service people can count on.

Role Description
As a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member, you will greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, manage appointment scheduling and office communications, assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records, engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, provide excellent customer service, and support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
Compensation
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
