About the role

As the first point of contact during evenings and weekends, you’ll be a calming presence, a helpful guide, and a valued member of a team deeply committed to care. The Receptionist at our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, staff, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Maintain sign-in/out logs for visitors and vendors in accordance with facility policies
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding facility services and procedures
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and packages
  • Assist with scheduling appointments or facility tours as needed
  • Support administrative staff with clerical tasks including filing, copying, and data entry
  • Ensure the front lobby and reception area are clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Uphold HIPAA and resident privacy standards at all times
  • Assist during emergency procedures by maintaining communication and directing traffic as needed
  • Perform additional administrative tasks or projects as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred (healthcare or SNF experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a healthcare setting is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • Bilingual skills (preferred but not required, depending on the facility population)

Pay

$16.00 – 18.50 per hour depending on experience

Schedule

  • Nights: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Weekends: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Working Conditions

This position is located in a skilled nursing facility environment with regular interaction with elderly residents and healthcare staff.
