About the role
As the first point of contact during evenings and weekends, you’ll be a calming presence, a helpful guide, and a valued member of a team deeply committed to care. The Receptionist at our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, staff, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet all residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls using a multi-line phone system
- Maintain sign-in/out logs for visitors and vendors in accordance with facility policies
- Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding facility services and procedures
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and packages
- Assist with scheduling appointments or facility tours as needed
- Support administrative staff with clerical tasks including filing, copying, and data entry
- Ensure the front lobby and reception area are clean, organized, and welcoming
- Uphold HIPAA and resident privacy standards at all times
- Assist during emergency procedures by maintaining communication and directing traffic as needed
- Perform additional administrative tasks or projects as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred (healthcare or SNF experience a plus)
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a healthcare setting is beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Bilingual skills (preferred but not required, depending on the facility population)

Pay
$16.00 – 18.50 per hour depending on experience
Schedule
- Nights: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Weekends: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Working Conditions
This position is located in a skilled nursing facility environment with regular interaction with elderly residents and healthcare staff.
