Receptionist Mental Health Care

About the role

Mahajan Therapeutics is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Receptionist to join their team in the treatment center. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional, and enthusiastic, capable of handling a variety of administrative tasks and supporting the clinic's operations.

Responsibilities

• Acts as receptionist, performing secretarial duties such as answering phones, forwarding calls, managing mail flow, data entry, reconciling daily money collected, and office inventory control.
• Assists Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes, including scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, payment collection, and follow-up calls.
• Assists in obtaining patient histories from other NTPs, building blank patient files for new admissions, archiving discharged files, preparing and maintaining reports and records.
• Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the children’s play area, lab area, and coffee/beverage area.
• If applicable, facilitates specimen collection from patients, delivers to the lab, files results, and distributes to counselors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1-year prior experience in an office setting.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional public presentation skills, including telephone etiquette.
• Proficient in basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, program management, medical staff, counselors, and peers.
• Ability to maintain routine records and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
