Receptionist - Float - Full Time

About the role

Full-time position with a 12-hour day shift. The Receptionist greets and welcomes patients and visitors to the clinic, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor. Responsible for managing front desk duties including maintaining patient flow, scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, validating insurance eligibility, entering patient and insurance information into the Electronic Health Record and other systems, and collecting time-of-service payments or past due balances.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Performs patient check-in and completes admitting process steps in compliance with clinic and regulatory policies.
• Answers and directs phone calls appropriately.
• Schedules appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collects copays and deductible amounts.
• Copies and scans patient access-related materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality regarding patient information.
• Personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

Schedule

• 32 hours per week.
• Floating to all Convenient Care clinics: Davenport, NW 53rd, Moline, Eldridge, and Woodlands.
• Every third weekend, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
