Receptionist - Family Medicine - Full Time

Job Duties

• Greets and welcomes patients and visitors to the clinic.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
• Gathers patient and insurance information accurately.
• Schedules appointments according to office guidelines.
• Validates insurance eligibility.
• Enters patient demographics, insurance, and other pertinent information into the Electronic Health Record and other systems.
• Collects copays (TOS) and deductible amounts.
• Copies/Scans patient access related hardcopy materials into the correct location in the electronic medical record.

General Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to the population served within three (3) months of hire.
• The ability to read, write, and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• A personal presence that is characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, inspiring and motivating others.
