About the role

Amalgamated Sugar Company is hiring seasonal laborers for beet receiving stations in Grandview, Idaho and Bruneau, Idaho. Positions are six to eight weeks long and can lead to long-term factory careers. Duties include checking beet quality, tracking samples, printing bag tickets, collecting samples, and weighing trucks.

Responsibilities

• Check beet quality
• Track samples on a tablet
• Print beet bag tickets
• Collect sugar beet samples
• Weigh inbound/outbound trucks

Requirements

• Available and willing to work weekends and holidays
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Work in outdoor weather conditions (hot and cold)
• Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures and signs
• Perform entry-level tasks with basic hand tools
• Perform general cleaning operations
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age

Pay

Pay starts at $17.93/hr and can go up to $26.77/hr based on experience.

Schedule

Shifts are 12+ hours long. Workdays include weekends and holidays. Overtime is available after 40 hours.
