Receiving Specialist

About the role

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving and verifying incoming purchase orders using automated systems, researching packages without purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Duties include delivering incoming packages to the correct locations, loading and wrapping items, and verifying delivery accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MMIS system to receive packages
• Appropriately receive packages and safely prepare for transport
• Maintain inventory through general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and securing items
• Load and wrap items using pallet jackets
• Deliver items to internal customers
• Verify accuracy of deliveries and PO and receipt accuracy in MMIS
• Ensure deliveries are made promptly and accurately
• Manage responsibilities and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion programs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year warehouse or supply chain experience preferred
• Computer or hand-held knowledge required
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate cultural responsiveness and continuous development
