Continental Dairy Facilities is Select Milk Producer’s first state-of-the-art powder milk and butter facility in Coopersville, Michigan, producing over 300,000 pounds of dry non-fat milk daily. Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming products that meet legal and company standards.
- Perform CIP (Clean-In-Place) of tankers, silos, and line circuits.
- Take proper samples of incoming products for bacteria, butterfat, solids-not-fat (SNF), and inhibitory substances.
- Conduct testing for drug residues (per PMO standards), temperature checks, titratable acidity, and other regulatory or company-required tests.
- Monitor CIP system for chemical strengths and take appropriate samples.
- Maintain and monitor testing equipment, replacing supplies as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and safe, ensuring the milk receiving and silo room remain USDA inspection-ready at all times.
- Complete assigned housekeeping tasks.
- Ensure raw product load out meets specifications prior to release.
- Service pumps and valves as needed or per the preventative maintenance schedule.
- Perform load out efficiently and sanitarily.
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Report any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions to a foreperson or supervisor immediately.
- Follow all safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Uphold Food Safety and Food Quality standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Must be able to obtain a Sampler’s Certificate from the State and become an Industry Analyst as defined by the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
- Ability to work safely and efficiently, following all safety procedures, including the use of safety equipment.
- Capability to troubleshoot minor issues and recognize when to escalate problems to higher authority.
- Willingness to ask for assistance when processes are unclear.
- Ability to operate equipment effectively after the appropriate training period.
- Basic computational skills, including simple math and reasoning.

Pay
$25.00/hour with a $1.25/hour Night Shift Premium.
Schedule
Night Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:30 am (2-2-3 schedule). Must be willing to work weekends and holidays that fall into the schedule.
