Receiving - Material Handler I

Shift

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Duties

• Operate forklifts and cherry pickers
• Accurately pick parts throughout the warehouse
• Weigh product using the proper scales
• Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy
• Pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer
• Read customer order notes and fill the order with any special customer requirements
• Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies
• Absorb physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed
• Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues
• Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness
• Follow all safety rules

Education And Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ years of related job experience preferred
• RF Handheld Experience Preferred
• Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers
• Strong proficiency in English communication including reading, writing, and verbal interactions are required for complying with safety protocols and operational procedures

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period
• The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height and below the waist
• The employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day
