The Role
Shape the flow of an entire distribution hub as our Receiving Manager. This role combines leadership with logistics excellence.
Responsibilities
- Guide a team of associates
- Create an environment where everyone succeeds
- Keep precise records of employee attendance and performance
- Schedule and staff based on business needs
- Set daily goals and help your team achieve them
- Hire, train, and onboard new associates
- Coach, evaluate, reward, and develop staff
- Address concerns, resolve challenges, and support your team
- Manage material flow from receiving to storage to production
- Ensure inbound freight is unloaded on time
- Maximize space through organized storage systems
- Uphold quality standards across the facility
- Lead HR functions, including staffing, corrective action, and performance reviews
- Guide leadership staff to maintain efficient product flow
Requirements
- Associate Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of leadership & receiving experience in a high-volume hub
- Strong communication with vendors, logistics teams, coworkers, and management
- Regular use of email/phone; strong hearing/vision to process documents & discussions
- Ability to stand/move 50% of the time, plus sit for computer work as needed
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 150 lbs
- Excellent manual dexterity and comfort with office equipment
- Strong math, organizational, computer, and system skills
- Experience with shipping/receiving/inventory software preferred
- Self-starter mentality with minimal supervision needed
