About The Job
The Receiving & Inventory Tech Performs a variety of duties related to the receiving, storage, and distribution of food stuff and non-food items. Performs a variety of duties related to data input for purchase orders and supplies.
What You’ll Do
- Initiates purchase orders and places orders as requested by the Production Manager.
- Receives all incoming food and non-food items and verifies for accuracy upon receipt.
- Follows HACCP procedures for receiving food items.
- Maintains daily records and records any variances according to procedures set forth.
- Rotates all incoming stock following first-in, first-out formula.
- Ensures the proper storage of all products according to Manchester Health Department guidelines.
- Stores and distributes products to the proper areas.
- Inputs and receives all invoices according to purchase order number in hospital computer system.
- Maintains all storage areas in a neat and sanitary fashion.
- Communicates any errors or shortages to Production Manager or appropriate supervisor.
- Maintains price changes and item numbers in computer system.
- Fills department requisitions and stock requests.
- Participates in the annual inventory.
- Responsible for meeting Manchester Board of Health, State and JCAHO standards.
Position Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Culinary program preferred.
- Experience: Experience in receiving and storage of inventory preferred. A background in food preparation and or cooking background preferred.
- Software/Hardware: Basic computer skills preferred.

Work Schedule
This is a full time, 40 hours per week position, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Mon-Fri, typically 5a-130p. Duties include, but not limited to; receiving of orders from the loading dock, store and rotating of food per the latest FDA Food Code and Elliot Policies, maintain cleaning standards of food storage locations (walk-in coolers/stock room/freezer), and any other food service tasks assigned.
