About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Apply inspection techniques using a variety of hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, ring gages and programmable test equipment such as Optical Gaging, Coordinate Measuring Machine and Micro-view.
  • Initiate non-conformances and maintain appropriate records as needed.
  • Provide support for other inspection functions.
  • Assist in evaluation of inspection methods/fixtures and providing improvement recommendations in conjunction with Quality Engineering/Engineering.
  • Operate within CPC BOS (Quality System).
  • Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Lean projects.
  • Keep current in the field with internal and external education and training.
  • Assist with quality systems audits with suppliers.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate support of CPC core values.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; Word and Excel.
  • Able to collect, analyze, and report data.
  • Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to self-prioritize, multitask and expedite in support of production needs.
  • This role may require 5% domestic travel.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a regulated work environment such as Medical Device/Bio-pharm/Automotive.
  • Oracle or similar ERP software experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 guidelines and GMP.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written specifications.
  • Previous experience with optical or coordinate measurement machines.
  • Previous experience in mechanical inspection or related field.

Pay

Pay range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.

Schedule

1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.).
