Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and prioritize day-to-day inspection workflows for raw materials, purchased parts, and subassemblies
- Verify conformance of incoming items against technical documentation, including blueprints, tolerance specifications, and inspection criteria
- Make disposition decisions (accept, reject, or hold) and ensure proper labeling, traceability, and segregation of materials
- Enable efficient material flow into manufacturing while maintaining strict adherence to procedural and regulatory standards
- Document inspection findings and initiate nonconformance reports when discrepancies are identified
- Support cross-functional evaluation and disposition activities for nonconforming materials
- Partner with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues
- Ensure that inspection records are accurate, complete, and compliant with audit expectations
- Participate in internal reviews and external regulatory or customer audits as needed
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to inspection personnel
- Track inspection metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee upkeep, calibration status, and proper usage of inspection tools and equipment
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and compliant inspection workspace
- Contribute to broader operational efforts and special projects when required
Qualifications
- Education: High School education or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or quality-related discipline preferred
- Experience: 3-7 years of experience performing inspections or quality-related work within a regulated manufacturing environment, medical device preferred; Prior experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead capacity preferred
- Technical Knowledge & Skills: Working knowledge of quality system frameworks and regulatory expectations; Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria; Understanding of statistical sampling approaches and inspection methodologies; Hands-on experience using precision measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and optical inspection systems; Strong analytical mindset with close attention to detail

Physical Demands
- Ability to lift moderately heavy materials (up to approximately 30 pounds)
- Capability to remain standing and perform detailed inspection work for extended durations
Compensation & Total Rewards
- $60k - $90k base salary
