Receiving Foreman

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates the activities of employees; provides technical guidance to Forklift Operators.
• Troubleshoots worker and logistic problems and recommends solutions.
• Engages in interactive communication with team members.
• Trains workers in operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies; monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary.
• Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site; works overtime as assigned.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (e.g., cleaning, organizing).
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures; identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
• Ensures the yard is organized, product is properly stored, and product is easily accessible to load trucks or pull orders as requested by customers.
• Coordinates with management team and Truck Drivers to ensure there are no loading or product issues.
• Operates forklifts and other machinery to meet deadlines and customer demands.
• Uses IFS system to process inventory transactions and maintain accurate material movement records; supports inventory accuracy.
• Coordinates with management team to plan employee schedules, covers shifts for loading, will calls, deliveries, and unexpected changes to load schedules.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Basic understanding of receiving and logistics function.
• Forklift Driving Certification (required).
• Computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management systems.
