Duties And Essential Functions
- Maintain Loading dock and elevator schedule.
- Receives incoming packages and enters information on packing slip into resident software.
- Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Delivers packages to Front Desk at times, and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
- Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
- Maintains department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
- Follows established company policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety.
- Receives and logs contractors into the system and contractor log whom will perform work or deliver items to the units.
- Provides contractor badge along with photo to identify the individual while working inside the building.
- Communicate with Management Office each time a contractor arrives with building materials or furniture deliveries to ensure they have provided the required elevator deposit.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Work Environment
- This position will be mostly indoors.
- Noise level will be moderate and position requires sitting most of the day.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less.
- The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a non-exempt (hourly) position.
- This schedule will be determined by the property and may change to accommodate the business needs of the property.
Required Education And Experience
- Prior experience in a related position.
- Six months to one year in related experience and/or training.
- Bi-lingual a plus; English and Spanish.
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
- Proficient use of MS Office.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 30 lbs.
