Job Description
Efficiently unload all incoming trucks
Validate receipt quantities
Maintain warehouse organization
Record all raw material receivers
Outsourcing
Control product flow to and from outsource suppliers
Monitor inventory levels and process releases
Process shippers/receivers for all transactions
Communicate with suppliers (expedites, production status, work schedule, etc.)
Trucking
Schedule internal and external shipments/pick-ups with outsource suppliers
Schedule, monitor, and track miscellaneous material and supply pick-ups using J.G. Kern trucking
Service
Monitor customer releases, inventory, and production to meet customer needs
Monitor casting and component inventory to be aware of potential issues
Complete monthly counts for components
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics operations
- Closed attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and report data
- Ability to work as a team across departments and push accountability
- Ability to work in a flexible fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong computer/Microsoft Office skills
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in logistics/shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment
