SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- All functions and procedures related to Receiving, Put-a-way and Replenishment of any and all items received from inbound carriers for the purpose of distribution or company use
- Operate a Forklift or other variation of a Powered Industrial Truck
- Account for all merchandise on bill of lading against purchase order
- Modify receiving documents by the number of products received versus that which was ordered and communicate errors such as UPC errors to Supervisor and/or Inventory Control
- Record receiving, put-a-way, and replenishment operations into the computer system
- Accurately receipt and place all products and report errors or differences to the proper party
- Note and enter on Radio Frequency the expiration dates, quantity, and difference of quantity on products placed or left in stock positions
- Document amount of merchandise entering receiving area, damaged or short date or out of date merchandise
- Sign bill of lading, nothing damages, overages or shorts
- Inspect merchandise for damage, short dates or out of dates on inbound shipments
- Notify buyer of any back orders, shortages or damages immediately
- File all paperwork properly by the end of the day
- Communicate problems, errors, and safety issues to Supervisor
- Maintain the sanitation of the receiving dock
- Sticker merchandise with slot location tags before merchandise leaves the dock
- Maintain empty pallets in pallet storage area

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Near moving mechanical parts
- Near packaged tobacco products including, but not limited to, high-end cigar products located in rooms with an artificially created humid atmosphere generated by mechanical humidifiers
