Receiving Clerk

About the role
The Receiving Clerk performs various tasks related to product packing and shipping in accordance with established procedures and commercial standards. This role involves receiving, verifying, and stocking incoming equipment, materials, and supplies, as well as preparing shipments. The ideal candidate will be computer literate and demonstrate acute attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Process all inbound and outbound shipments, including sorting, logging, delivering, packing, auditing, and shipping.
- Audit each goods receipt prior to packing to ensure goods match the order.
- Verify that proper equipment, manuals, and accessories are received with the correct order and process accordingly.
- Prepare shipping and receiving documentation; maintain orderly files for all documentation.
- Participate in scheduling daily transportation.
- Process all receiving transactions and paperwork accurately.
- Assist in maintaining material inventory levels and conduct periodic audits.
- Respond to requests for tracing missing shipments from suppliers.
- Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in the receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate safety PPE.
- Perform required administrative tasks; prepare all required reports and correspondence.
- Use computer systems to log and track shipments and inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience: One to two years of related experience or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with material handling practices and methods.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow efficiently.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook and Word; able to type 40 words per minute.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Versatility, flexibility, and enthusiasm to work within constantly changing priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
- Wear appropriate safety PPE as required.
Work Environment
Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can vary by season, and noise levels can be moderate to high.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hour. Individual pay is determined based on work experience, job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, and other factors.
