Duties And Responsibilities
- Unload packages and check their content for accuracy, and assist in the management of inventory.
- Serve as backup to procurement team members, and assist in logistics and procurement when needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers and customers, including knowledge of their needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with many areas of the organization to ensure the highest quality of data and information sharing.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconcile with data storage system.
- Maintain receiving, warehouse, and distribution.
- Support production as needed regarding inventory and printing load tags.
- Process all inbound miscellaneous freight, labels, tags, and enter into SAP and/or other data storage systems.
- Operate Forklift, or other hand trucks, to move items in warehouse and/or production area.
- Maintain exceptional safety record and model safe behavior.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideal candidate will be currently enrolled, or willing to continue their education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
Technical Skills
- A working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
- Product layouts and production specifications.
- Product quality specifications.
- Quality standards.
- Basic manufacturing concepts (preferred).
