Receiving Clerk - 1st and 2nd Shift - Wesanco Garden Grove CA

About the role

Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust, debris, and noise. The role involves preparing shipping documentation, processing orders, coordinating bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. You will troubleshoot shipping delays or changes with carriers, ensure regulatory compliance for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT), and resolve shipping non-conformance. The position may require overtime, early reporting, or late shifts, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and record/track all shipping transactions using a scan gun.
• Safely operate a forklift and heavy equipment in tight spaces.
• Follow bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices.
• Set up, track, and prepare shipments using a computer.
• Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to plan workload for the shift.
• Follow safety protocols and inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, material, size, and specifications.
• Maintain housekeeping between quality checks.
• Perform production reporting and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Hi-Lo (forklift) Certification preferred; training and certification will be provided.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work.
• Regularly stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
• Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Wear required hearing and/or eye protection.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM ($1.00 shift differential)

Pay

Hourly Rate: $20.50
