Receiving Associate

About the role

Safe-Way Garage Door is seeking a dependable, hardworking Receiving Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, handling materials and products efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and products from incoming vendor trucks
• Organize and move products to designated storage and production areas
• Operate forklifts, carts, pallets, and other material-handling equipment
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or quality concerns
• Pick and stage orders according to shipping manifests and routes
• Assist with inventory cycle counts
• Distribute incoming parts and materials throughout the facility
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Empty facility hoppers as needed
• Move tractor trailers as required
• Support other receiving, warehouse, and production needs as assigned

Requirements

• Previous forklift operating experience
• Ability to safely use industrial and material-handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to work around moving equipment

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid forklift certification

Physical Job Details

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Squatting, kneeling, reaching, and using hands throughout the shift
• Occasionally lifting and moving up to 60 pounds
• Working around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
