Receiving Associate

About the role

As our Receiver, you will have the opportunity to safely receive incoming products while following all company safety policies and procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S+1 standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive incoming products while following all company safety policies and procedures
• Wear required PPE and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S+1 standards
• Inspect inbound materials and identify damaged products before receiving them into inventory
• Accurately receive purchase orders and inventory transactions within 24 hours of product arrival
• Verify quantities and product accuracy against purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Properly lock out and safely unload trailers
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Pull stock tickets and support material movement throughout the facility
• Assist with will-call orders and customer pickups as needed
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory verification activities
• Provide backup support for molding pulling operations
• Assist with loading outbound trucks when required
• Meet departmental productivity, quality, inventory, and delivery objectives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse, receiving, or distribution experience preferred
• Experience safely operating a forklift
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic measurement skills, including the use of tape measures and calipers
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to maintain a physical workload in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to successfully pass a Forklift Operator Physical
