Receiving Associate

About the role

Supports the day to day operations of the Branch providing order and delivery services. This is a safety‑sensitive position requiring constant awareness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload and check incoming shipments while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
• Receive inventory coming into the building from vendors, customers, or other locations accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a constant state of awareness to work safely.
• Undergo a pre‑employment drug test screening for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines per HHS/SAMHSA cutoff levels.
• Submit to a background check for convictions directly related to the position; only job‑related convictions will be considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Ability to read orders and match them on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Certification to operate power‑truck equipment.
• Experience operating inventory control equipment such as bar‑coding scanners and handheld devices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures typical of a warehouse environment.
• Position requires substantial standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
• May require climbing ladders for top‑level selection.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
