Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verifies contents against packing slips and/or orders.
- Keeps track of the receiving documentation.
- Identifies and relocates materials to production area for filling, labeling, and packaging of products with a pallet jack or forklift.
- Pulls raw materials samples for retention, and labels them properly for storage.
- Lifts, carries, and counts cases to fill orders.
- Ensures all transactions are F.I.F.O. (First in, first out) compliant.
- Organizes and efficiently palletizes cases to appropriate locations.
- Operates the pallet wrapper, forklift and pallet jack in a safe and appropriate manner abating safety hazards and abiding by guidelines/procedures established within the work environment.
- Communicates necessary information and problems/complications to Receiving Operations Manager.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and orderly work area and space.
- Drives to and from various Dr. Bronner’s facilities or other locations, as instructed, to transport supplies and materials or fulfill other duties and responsibilities.
- May include driving company vehicle.
- Performs other duties as assigned within job scope.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 or more years working in a shipping department.
- Must have experience working in a warehouse setting.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, and internet-based platforms.
- Must be proficient in the operation of pallet jacks, forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Must possess or obtain pallet jack and forklift certification.
- Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Company’s insurance carrier standards.
