Receiving Associate

About the role

A Receiver for Capital Electric is responsible for correctly receiving material into the facility, checking, and stocking material with care and accuracy to ensure every product is prepared to be picked and shipped to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Organize and transport freight on the dock, including loading and unloading trailers without damaging products.
• Receive large boxes on the warehouse dock (LTL).
• Scan all product with an RF scanner for UPS/FedEx shipments and input product information into the computer.
• Break down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse.
• Scan and tote pallets for put‑away.
• Drive material‑handling equipment as required by job duties.
• Operate equipment such as order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
• Cross‑train in multiple areas of the warehouse, including Inbound, Outbound, Wire, and Pipe/Conduit.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Detail‑oriented.
• Recent experience operating a forklift.
• Good and dependable mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly and up to 70 lb occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic.

Pay

$20 – $21 per hour, depending on equipment experience.
